She told me, somehow, that she used to be a beautiful mysterious woman who used to travel with a carnival and work as a fortune teller. She can still see the future, but is too old to stay on the road so she moved to her family house, the Crow's Nest.
She still likes her makeup, just like in her younger days, hehe :)
There's still one tooth left to spark up that smile.
I think she will be wearing black satin, maybe.
Because witches always wear black, how else are people supposed to know they're witches.Right? ;)
Yes that is my cat's butt on the left. She likes to chill with me while I build. Leela the support-cat.
Unfortunately the left side of the windowed part of the wall doesn't meet the second floor at all, so I will have to use tricks to make it look right later. But I'm sure it will look fine after some painting and stuff.
Oh and...on the other side I had to of course put wallpaper first but I had ran out of bathroom wallpaper because I only bought one sheet, so I painted!
Shiny gold scales show when the light hits them in the right angle.
As you can see, I ran out of wallpaper :D So I think I'll probably put some rusty bathroom pipes there or something.
What I really should have been doing first, was the staircase railing, but I did not like the stair rails that come with the house. I'm thinking more something metallic and swirly, not chunky wood blocks. I decided to just leave them out for now and make them myself later on.
The thing that makes it so slow to build the house is that I have to always cut everything so that it fits in. And paint and prepare, it's what makes it extremely frustrating but also so satisfying every time I manage to get something in place it's a wonderful moment and I'm so happy and relieved that it didn't break and looks alright.
I also know that most of the troubles are because the main walls and floors aren't aligned properly, if you get those in perfectly, there won't be as much problems later on. Half a centimeter can be a BIG difference in this scale. But, doesn't matter. The more work I put in it, the more I start to LOVE this house. I can feel it becoming my house. It's not a kit anymore. It is my creation.
That's all for today, I have to wait for the glue to dry :)
